Founder Coco Engström grew up in Japan and has worked internationally and in Sweden. Hibi grew from an interest in how everyday Japanese practices, tea, seasonality, small pauses and intentional routines, can be translated into contemporary working life in a way that feels natural and relevant.
The aim is not simply to teach people how to make matcha, but to create a well-run workplace experience that gives people a reason to gather, start conversations and discover something together.
A shared experience people can actually take with them.
After the workshop, participants leave not only having tasted matcha, but knowing how to prepare it themselves and understanding more about the culture and ideas behind the ritual.
It can stand alone as a team activity or become the beginning of a longer Hibi Matcha workplace ritual.
