Hibi comes from the Japanese word 日々 meaning everyday life.
I grew up in Japan, where many ideas we now describe as wellness were simply part of everyday life: taking time for tea, paying attention to seasonality, creating small pauses, and finding meaning in simple routines.
After working in Japan and internationally, and experiencing Nordic work culture firsthand, I became interested in how these everyday Japanese practices could be translated into modern workplaces in a way that feels relevant, practical and natural. Hibi Matcha was created from that idea.
We bring Japanese matcha into the workplace not only as a drink, but as a shared experience, a reason to pause, gather and connect during the working day.
My role is to bridge the culture behind matcha with the realities of a modern workplace: making it approachable for employees, easy for companies to implement, and meaningful enough that people actually want to take part.
